A top Canadian rugby club with MLR links is looking for several players to join them for 2025/26. The club competes in the BC Premier competition, which is considered the best league in North America outside of MLR.
The club is looking for players in the following positions:
- Lock (big ball carrier)
- Flank (big ball carrier)
- No 8 (big ball carrier)
- Scrumhalf
- Flyhalf
- Centres (12/13)
- Fullback
The club has two recruitment windows where players can arrive in Canada:
– September 2025 (Beginning of season)
– January 2026 (Play-offs)
The club is looking for players who have competed in premier competitions globally such as:
– New Zealand: Auckland Premier, North Harbour Premier, or Christchurch Metro.
– Australia: Players who have featured in Premier/1st Grade or strong 2nd Grade sides in Sydney or Brisbane
– Wales: Welsh Premiership/Championship
– Ireland: Irish AIL 1B/2A
– England: English National 1/National 2
– Or equivalent
PACKAGE:
The club can offer the following package for players:
– Accommodation Assistance
– Flight stipend up to $800 CAD
– Registration covered ($500 CAD)
– Rugby insurance
– $800 CAD to cover the first month of rent (if our free spots are full).
– Work assistance for players and the club is well connected to get players working hourly paid jobs fairly quickly.
The club has pathways into MLR and Canadian National Team set up if players are eligible and have such aspirations. Several players have made the jump from their club to MLR/Canada National team.
