A French Espoirs Élite club affiliated with a professional Pro D2 club is recruiting talented young players for multiple positions. The club is looking to start its recruitment for 2027-28 with promising forwards and backs who have the potential to develop into their Pro D2 professional environment in future.
POSITIONS REQUIRED
FORWARDS
- Loosehead Prop (No. 1): A technically strong front-row forward with good scrummaging ability.
- No. 5 Lock: A big, physically imposing second-row forward who can provide strength at the set piece and around the field.
BACKS
- Fly-half (No. 10): A young playmaker with strong technical skills, game awareness and decision-making ability.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
This opportunity is aimed at young players born in 2008 or 2009 who are looking to develop their rugby careers within a professional club environment.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong potential and commitment to their development.
- Position-specific technical ability & physical profile
- Exceptional athletic ability & outstanding physical dominance
- A willingness to learn French, and assimilate into French Culture, as well as a professional environment.
PLAYER LEVEL
Players who meet the criteria below will be eligible for opportunities:
- U18 International Players: Tier 1 & Tier 2 Nations.
- U18 Regional/Representative Rugby: U18 Crabos (France), U18 Craven Week, U18 Super Rugby AU, U18 NZ Franchises, U18 Academy (England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland).
- Top French Young Players: Born in 2008 or 2009, currently in a FFR Certified Academy
- Exceptional Athletes: With strong physical profiles, outside of the levels mentioned above.
PLAYER PROFILE
Loosehead Prop (No. 1)
- Height: 1.85m+
- Weight: 115kg+
- Strong scrummaging technique.
- Good physical strength and mobility.
- Solid set-piece fundamentals and a willingness to develop.
Lock (No. 5)
- Height: 1.98m+
- Weight: 115kg+
- Tall, physically strong and powerful.
- Strong lineout ability and set-piece fundamentals.
- Good work rate and physical presence around the field.
Fly-half (No. 10)
- Kicking Accuracy: 90%+
- Versatile Playmaker: Able to cover 12 and/or 15
- Strong kicking, passing and game-management skills.
- Excellent decision-making and tactical awareness.
- Ability to organise the attack and create opportunities for teammates.
Note: Players main position must be the positions mentioned above – and more importantly, have extensive footage at a high level competing in the position mentioned.
