Oval15 is delighted to announce the signing of Nils Schouten to Rugby Club Lousa in Portugal.
Nils Schouten is a Dutch front-row forward (1.84m, 112kg) capable of playing tighthead, loosehead and hooker. An attacking front-rower, he is comfortable carrying into space and linking play, while offering strong scrummaging across multiple positions and reliable lineout throwing.
Schouten is a solid defender with effective ruck-clearing ability and a consistent work rate. Most recently, he represented RFC Haarlem in the Ereklasse, having previously played for Amstelveense RC. He has also featured for the Dutch Delta Team in the Rugby Europe Super Cup.
At representative level, Schouten has played for Netherlands U20, finishing fifth at the 2024 World Rugby Trophy and second at the 2025 European Championship.
