Mike Gallagher is a versatile front-row forward with extensive semi-pro and club rugby experience. Scrummaging is his forte, excelling at tighthead (preferred), loosehead and hooker. He is also competitive at the breakdown.
A strong leader and referee communicator, Gallagher has an excellent grasp of the laws, raising concerns tactfully yet impactfully. He speaks fluent English and basic French. Gallagher has represented Bay of Plenty Steamers (NPC Development, New Zealand), Ngāti Porou East Coast (Heartland Championship, New Zealand) and Team Ontario (Interprovincial, Canada).
