Lailvaux brings professionalism and high performance to every environment. Regarded as the ultimate team player, he consistently demonstrates exceptional work rate, energy, and commitment at every training session and on match day, while being a commanding presence on defence through dominant tackling, effective jackling, and strong lineout aerial ability.

In his debut season in New Zealand, under the guidance of Barry Matthews, Lailvaux played a key role in guiding his club to the final of North Otago’s Premier Competition. His standout performances with Valley RFC earned him selection for North Otago’s Heartland Championship squad where he made his representative debut for the union, contributing to their Lochore Cup triumph. In his second season, he played a pivotal role in helping his club side win the North Otago Premier Men’s club competition, with their club finishing unbeaten. His outstanding season earned him a place in the North Otago Development squad and has been named as captain for the 2026 season.

Previously with False Bay RFC in South Africa, Lailvaux earned multiple individual awards and captained the U20A side before further stints in Ireland’s AIL Division 2A (2023–24) and England’s National 2 West (2024–25).

Robbie holds a BSc in Sports & Exercise Science and is seeking a professional environment where he can continue to develop both on and off the field.
