Sandro Mamamtavrishvili is a world-class flank who has played international rugby for Georgia at U18, U20 and senior levels. He featured for the Lelos in a 2023 World Cup warm-up match but was unfortunately ruled out of World Cup selection contention with a hand injury.

Mamamtavrishvili has earned 10 Test caps since 2022 and made nine appearances for Black Lion in the 2023-24 European Challenge Cup while helping them win the Rugby Europe Super Cup in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Mamamtavrishvili regards his biggest strength as his ability to defend with aggressive tackles and to read the game, which allows him to make split-second turnover decisions at the breakdown. He also works hard in the mauls, and gives 100% in every game for the full 80 minutes.
