Dylan Fillis is a physical, hardworking forward who primarily plays lock but is equally comfortable at openside flank. His strengths include powerful ball-carrying, dominant defence, lineout work, breakdown play and a consistently high work rate. He prides himself on his physicality, fitness and ability to get his team over the gain line.
Fillis captained the Tygerberg RFC U20 team, developing his leadership, communication and game-management skills. His performances earned him selection for the club’s 1st XV while he was still eligible for the U20 side, providing valuable exposure to senior rugby at a young age.
He currently represents Tygerberg RFC’s 1st XV in the Super League A competition. A reliable lineout option, aggressive defender and committed team player, Fillis is highly coachable and driven to continually improve and progress to higher levels of rugby.
