Charlton Ruiter is a versatile young back with a strong rugby foundation built through his entire school career at Cederberg Academy. Primarily an outside centre and wing, Ruiter brings experience from playing 1st XV school rugby as an inside centre, giving him an understanding of both attacking and defensive responsibilities across the backline.

Charlton has already demonstrated leadership qualities at a young age. During his senior year at Cederberg Academy, he was part of the 1st XV leadership group, before moving into club rugby where he was trusted with the responsibility of captaining the 2nd XV during his first year of club rugby.

His biggest strengths are his adaptability, composure and willingness to learn. He is comfortable adjusting to different positions and situations and remains calm when under pressure. These qualities give him a strong foundation for continued development in a competitive club or academy environment.
