Jandre de Beer is a hard-running inside centre who can play flyhalf and fullback too. His upper-body strength allows him to break tackles, while his speed and footwork enable him to take a gap or beat a defender. He runs good lines, offloads well in the tackle, is a solid defender, and kicks accurately out of hand.De Beer played 1st XV rugby for Grey College, before representing the Free State Cheetahs U19 and U21 teams, and captaining Central University of Technology (CUT) in the Varsity Cup. After a stint with the Melbourne Unicorns in Australia, he returned to CUT for the Varsity Cup.
