Oval15 is delighted to announce the signing of Sam Vea to Beauvais Rugby Club in France!
The powerful Tongan joins the club ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Sam Vea is a big ball-carrying No 8 who breaks through tackles and gets over the advantage line. He also offloads well in the tackle, has a good pass, and puts in big hits on defence.
Vea represented South Canterbury in New Zealand’s Heartland Championship from 2012 to 2015, and played for Tonga A in the Pacific Cup in 2012. He joined Hamilton Marist RFC in 2016 and was part of the Waikato Development squad.
Vea signed for French club USA Limoges in 2019 and played in the Nationale 2 league. In 2023-24, he joined Chartres, who play in Federale 1. Thereafter, he joined Cognac Charente for the 2024-25 season, which led to him being picked up by Beauvais Rugby Club.
