Oval15 is proud to announce the successful placement of Nicholas Serra as Assistant Coach at Bayside Sharks RFC, ahead of the club’s 2026–27 season.
Serra relocates to Canada from Italy, bringing with him a wealth of international coaching experience across three continents.
A Player-Centred Approach to Coaching
Serra has a proven track record of building positive team cultures and instilling a winning mindset through a player-centred coaching philosophy. He holds a Master’s Degree in Advanced Sport Sciences from the University of Turin and is a FIR Level 3+ certified rugby coach — one of the highest coaching accreditations awarded by the Italian Rugby Federation.
An accomplished coach across both men’s and women’s rugby, Serra has developed his craft in Italy, New Zealand, and the Czech Republic, giving him a broad and adaptable coaching perspective.

His leadership and team coordination skills foster strong team cultures, ensuring his coaching vision and values are embedded across every squad he works with.
