Oval15 is excited to announce the placement of Elijah Corbett to Meraloma Rugby in Canada!
Elijah joins the Canadian side ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Elijah Corbett is a 25-year-old loose forward from New Zealand. He played for Hamilton Boys’ High, renowned for their robust rugby programme, before joining Hautapu, where he played alongside Chiefs and Waikato NPC representative players, learning from high-quality experienced players and coaches.
While openside flanker was Corbett’s primary position, in 2024 his coaches transitioned him to No 8, a role he played throughout the season. His strongest attributes are his defence and ball-carrying ability. Corbett also enjoys playing sevens rugby, and served as captain and leader of his club’s sevens team for several years. His fitness as a forward enables him to excel in the high-speed game, with a bronco test time of 4:50. In the 2024 season, he coached the sevens team, leading them to three top-three finishes in tournaments.
