French Espoirs Elite: Young Elite Players (2026-27)

French Espoirs Elite sides are still looking to add to their recruitment and are on the lookout for Young Elite Players for the 2026-27 season.

Positions:
Clubs are targeting elite young players in the following positions:

• Hooker (Strong Individual technique, powerful ball carrier, big physical profile)
• Tighthead Prop (+1.9m, +110kg)
• Locks (+2m, +110kg)
• Flank (6 & 7 – Tall, Powerful Ball Carriers, lineout jumpers)
• No 8 (Tall, Powerful Ball Carrier)
• Centres (Physically Dominant, +1.9m, +100kg, Quality Individual Skills)
• Wing (Extreme pace, aerial dominance, X-Factor)
• Fullback (Quality kicking game, X-Factor, aerial dominance, ability to play as a 2nd playmaker)

Player Ages:
Players must be born in the following years:

• 2006
• 2007
• 2008

Footage Requirement:
Players MUST have the following footage on hand:

• Quality Highlights Video, playing at a high level (showcasing positional specific footage at a high resolution)
• Match Footage:
  • At least 2-3 Full Matches
  • Footage must be of matches played at a high level (see below)

Player Level:

• U18, U19 or U20 International Rugby
• Players currently playing in France for French Academies
• U18, U19 or U20 Representative Rugby (e.g. Craven Week, Academy Week (only for big unions), Super Rugby U18, English Premiership U18)
• Top 1st XV Schoolboy Player (quality player with a standout physical profile and superior skills)

Note: French Players or JIFF players (spent 3 years in FFR academy) are given preference due to regulations, however, French clubs will consider foreign players as long as they meet the criteria above.
